That's how SPOONER, formerly NOSFERATO, likes to be defined. Founded in 1997 by four friends, and now developed into a powerful music machine. SPOONER particularly focuses on it's own songs, but does not shy away from ass-kickin' covers. An explosion of rock music, but also catchy easy songs, are effortlessly performed by SPOONER.
And not without success!
In the still short existence of SPOONER, innumerable awards were carried off and several big stages were played. An overview of the highlights:
1998: Winner of the 'Smoke on the Ringsloot Festival', Winner of 'POPUNIE Highschool Music Competition', Winner of
the 'POPUNIE SuperSuperTrio'.
1999: Winner of the 'Goudse Regio MuziekPrijs', Nighttown Public Award at the 'Grote Prijs van Zuid-Holland',
Bevrijdingsfestival Rotterdam, 2 times Supporting Act of Golden Earring.
2000: Winner of the 'Grote Prijs van Alphen', Winner of the 'Mikado Awards', Wantijpop.
2001: Winner of the 'Waterproof Festival', Waterpop.
2002: BeNeLux Tour, POPUNIE SuperSuperTrio.
2003: POPUNIE Onweerstaanbare 5, TrailerPop, Heartbeat Festival.
In January 2005 they reached a climax with the launch of a videoclip which is still being broadcasted on MTV, TMF and The BOX! The same year, SPOONER was invited to perform live on national radio at 3FM.
