Driveset arrived on the Baltimore Maryland modern rock/metal scene with groove and intensity in Jan 2005. The band has written and recorded a slew of intense metal songs that have got the attention of many in such a short time, exploding onto the scene, and earned them the attention of several record companies both domestic and overseas. The band attributes its success to its hard work and determination from all of its members. The band formed when brothers Ken and Kevin Pedersen recruited local drummer Jimmy Zane. The trio quickly began writing new material, and eventually acquired Bob Wolfe for vocals. In June 2005 , Driveset posted their first Full length CD Force of Habit which is available on the Internet via cdbaby and http://www.driveset.net/ . It is also avaiable for digital download. In the first month 200 copies were sold as virtual unknowns. The songs are still climbing the local and cyber scene and are adored by both fans and critics alike. Driveset combines mixture of many influences to come up with their own take on rock/metal music, with de-tuned, rhythmic syncopation, as well as melodic singing and musical passages.
