SOCOE is an alternative psychedelic band from the south. Imagine the sounds of Lynyrd Skynyrd mixed with the modern sounds of mainstream rock. Then insert a psychedelic / U2 style underbelly. SOCOE is based out of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. The band consists of four members. The members are Justin Ross (guitar/lead vocals), Josh Williamson (guitar/backing vocals), Todd Carroll (drums), and Christian O’ Malley (bass guitar). SOCOE is a band which diligently attempts to make people feel good when they listen. Then, (if one can) to feel good from that point on. SOCOE is not disillusioned or concerned with the pretentious and convoluted nature of the music business. They believe that music is something for everyone to enjoy. Therefore, the music they create is expansive and clear. SOCOE works very hard to play as one entity rather than a bunch of musicians fighting for the limelight. The band appears to be rooted in themselves and their music. Overall this band is a fun escape from the mundane nature of many days gone by. The bands influences include Stevie Ray Vaughan, Tool, U2, Breaking Benjamin, Nickelback, The Goo Goo Dolls, Frank Zappa, James Marshall Hendrix, The Deftones, and Fugazi, to name a few.
