I, Misery began in Operation Iraqi Freedom with two 4th Infantry Division soldiers, now known as simply Bryan and Way. This guitarist and drummer came home after their tour in the Middle East and began I, Misery. Bryan met Russell in a pawn shop and decided to try him out as a backup guitarist. They clicked immediately and with the addition of Rocky (an old friend of Bryan's from Arizona), the band was complete.
