Born in Sacramento 3 years ago by guitarist/vocalist DK and drummer Steve Dominguez, Kymera had the
idea of writing music that evoked all emotions. Holding life, love, pain, happiness, joy, suffering, growth, travel, and years and years of musical experience as inspiration Kymera began writing material that was beyond genres, eclectic in nature and transended the boundaries of modern pop culture music.
Robert Turner joined on bass shortly after and the immediate chemistry and compability with the bands vision completed the sound for the next 3 years. Now, as the Chimaira greek mythological beast impies, the distinct yet different musical styles of all 3 members has grown into a heartpounding, explosive, unexpected, unbelievable mixture of 3 gene pools that have never before been joined in one form. After years of honing the sounds, blowing away audiences throughout the San Francisco and greater Bay Area community, steadily building a following in our hometown of Sacramento and Auburn as well as Davis, the sound has evolved to a refined beast ready for national exposure. Recently, the beast of three gene pools has added a fourth genetic strain. Chaz Levier has combined talents by contributing keyboards, percussion and soulful vocals to the already uncontainable sound. Now the beast grows a new face, adds a new gene to the composition, and the sound again takes direction. Now more then ever we say "a feast for the ears and minds, you will not be disappointed when you forget about your pop culture expectations and come face to face with the musicality of Kymera!"
