Since the summer of 2005 the band's first single Slain was featured on The X 103.9 during "Toke it or Choke It", they have played the Catalyst main stage and placed third in the 2005 Your Music Magazine's Battle Of The Bands, and they were featured on a local cable access show called Idle Hands on July 29th. The band pours every ounce of blood, sweat and tears into the songs they write from the thunderous groove of Resistance to the melodic beauty of Absence, to the anthemic drive of Nowhere To Run. But playing live is where the band truly shines.
As Matt and Kiren keep the rhythm and headbanging in full force, Neal and Colby thrash around fluidly, leaping and dropping in sync to every accent, while Bryan moves wirelessly through the audience in a captivating display of aggression and despair. From Colby and Matt's reckless guitar-throwing to Bryan and Neal's Kung-Fu-like spin kicks to Kiren's running-out-from-behind-the-drumset antics, there's no telling what the band won't do next.
The band has currently finished recording their 2005 LP appropriately entitled Burn The Skies and is scheduling to release it November 11th at The 418 Project. To promote it, the band plans to head out on the road doing some independently funded tours throughout California during which the band will concentrate on writing new material and enhancing their live show.
NothingLeft looks forward to the future in hopes that one day they would be able to perform their music in front of arenas and stadiums of people singing back the songs that mean so much to them; to people who feel that certain emotion when their favorite song brings an overwhelming flood of feelings. For that was the original meaning behind NothingLeft. When everything in life has failed, music can be all you have.
