Atomic Fury is Long Island’s roaring lion of two-fisted cool. This sharp, young trio of rock n’ roll musicians has been performing, and recording together for over four years. Originally starting out as a cover band, they learned and performed a plethora of great music by other artists. In 2002 the band recorded and released a demo of original music under the name Dr. Thunder. The great response to the demo and live stage shows helped the band earn enough money to let them re-record the songs professionally for a commercial release. In 2003 the band officially changed their name to Atomic Fury and released their self-titled debut album on their own label: Thunderrum Records. They also shot a music video for their hard driving single “Squeeze” which is available for free streaming, and download on their website.
The music of Atomic Fury has been described as “party rock that sizzles out of your speakers.” Over the past four years the band has opened shows for national acts such as Seether as well as doing free shows for the community; like the Brookhaven Youth Council’s Cedar Beach Summer Concerts.
