The band got started in mid 2004 when Charlie approached Corey to start a new music project. The two of them began writing material, and searching for the right drummer for the band. After several months of trying out potential drummers, Charlie approched Mike Lundeen to audition for the open position in the band. Mike joined the band in May 2005 and quickly started writing with the other two members in preparation for a full length CD release. The chemistry in the band was immediantly apparent which allowed the band to prosper in their writing efforts, and create a cutting edge record that will make a lot of noise through out the music industry upon it’s release.
While Solomons Ashes is a new band to the music scene, it’s members are seasoned musicians. Charlie Jacobs is the former vocalist for the local alternative rock band Par e dim Shift. Charlie was a major driving force in that band, and helped to take Par e dim Shift to the top of the local scene. They came very close to inking a record deal prior to Charlie’s exit from the band. Mike Lundeen was the original founding member and drummer for the band Sons of Chaos. His band spent eight years together eventually signing a record deal in 2001. Sons of Chaos released two full length records, and several E.P’s over the course of the bands career. They sold thousands of records world-wide with several successful U.S. tours to promote the releases. Corey grew up in the underground metal music scene. He was a strong supporter of local music in the early 90’s, but waited until now to unleash his musical talent . His desire to succeed, and love for what he does is a driving force in Solomons Ashes.
Together, the band plans to show the entire world what they have to offer music lovers everywhere . With high energy performances, real life lyrics, and a strong passion for music, this band seems to be on an unstopable surge to the top of the music scene. Now with a full length album on the horizon, Solomons Ashes plan to hit the road, and show people in person the newest musical explosion we call Solomons Ashes.
