Nightmare Prophecy is a 5 piece band located in Bowie, Maryland, started in 2002 by guitarist Brian Mitchell and singer Chris Keller under another name. After that failed in late 2002, Brian finally found a drummer to bring NP to life in Billy Freed. The three hammered out 4 songs and recorded a demo entitled "Void of Lukas" in late March of 2004 at Plan 9 studios. With the new recording circulating, NP came to the attention of guitarist Mike Price. He contacted Brian and came to practice already knowing most of the songs and he fit right in. With Mike and a show under there belt a 2 track demo entitled "...A Quiet Laughter" was recorded at KW Studios in Bowie. Going on to play several shows around the md,dc,va area and begining to make a name for themselves the decision was made to look into recording an album. For the next several months they focused on perfecting their material and choosing the right studio to record in. Oblivion Studios in Upper Marlboro with Mike Bosier was the obvious choice and "Connivance" was born. Many, many hard times and complications later, things are finally seeming to come together. With the recent addition of Matt Shaner on bass the band is closer than ever and greatly looks forward to the chance to show the world one city at a time what they have to offer.
