Exordium originally sprouted as a side project from the Thrash/death/black metal band Striktnyne, (an old Bay area fav.), first called Pentagora. Seeing as Striktnyne was going nowhere, the masterminds behind their music (Matt & Redd) decided to move Pentagora up on the priority list and severed their ties with Striktnyne. After a short search Pentagora found and hooked up with Mike Coney on Guitar. It was then decided that Pentagora limited the possible musical styles of the band... So Exordium was chosen to better respresent the music. Exordium, Latin for the beginning, is the new beginning to the rise of Bay area metal, bringing the old school & new school of Death metal, Thrash metal, Black metal, and a little touch of the 80's together at once in only the way Overseas bands know how. With brutal, intricate, technical, and complex song structures and timings Exordium will make a new mark in the bay area metal scene!
