The Difference is a live hip-hop ensemble based in Philadelphia. With over a century of combined musical experience, the Difference brings a unique, experienced approach that culminates in a shared musical vision. The members represent a wide variety of backgrounds and genre influences but all share a dedication to jazz-based hip-hop, socially conscious messages, and delivering their music to the world audience. The instrumentation includes piano, double bass, drums, percussion, two emcees, and a vocalist, as well as guest collaboration from some of Philadelphia's most accomplished musicians, poets, emcees, and singers.
