The project started out in the winter of 1999 and has been busy shoveling everything but snow out of it's way since. What started out as a jam that cold dark night between guitar player, Shane Moorehead, and bass player, Jeff Czarnecki, evolved into a half decade pursuit to see how hard and how many times they were willing to slam their heads into every brick wall they could find. Aside from the obstacles, the two have always captured and laid down the initial melodic assault for the rest of the band to sculpt into ultimate form. Their sculls are cracked but there is no foreseeable end to the sheer joy they find in all the masochism.
The singer, David James Daniel Wood, described as 'polychromatic', personifies what the raw emotion contained in the collaboration of instruments actually is. Lyrics rooted deeply in philosophical value, which completely and honestly depict Dayv's everlasting personal search for true self, are at the same time able to be interpreted by anyone searching for their own inner meaning and self-worth. "Under the silent rapport and confident exterior, lies a frightened insecure child who acts on every dark desire. Smiling is just a facade, though truly a sight unbeheld, and although my armor shines bright, it's just a reflection of your light."
Balancing out the equation is the drummer, Sean Grenier, who is a veteran of the L.A. music scene with numerous bands. His exploits behind the kit are as explosive to watch as they are to hear. Ever vigilant in retaining a deep personal pride in the music he helps to create, Sean leaves no stone unturned during the writing process, regardless of what his bandmates may already interpret as complete. His determination and insightful ear help to solidify the structure of every song.
