Ben “Catwoman”-Drummer: Ben comes from a nice family of Swedes, and is naturally prone to hitting stuff, when he found he could do this rhythmically he abandoned his trumpet and began his love for the drums. He’s influenced by The Barenaked Ladies, Sublime, and Blink 182 (though none of the Blink 182 is heard in our music surprisingly) He’ll be a high school senior this year. Craig “Mr. Danger”-Bassist: Nominated the “scruffiest” member of the band. Craig is probably also the most musically inclined. Being not only skilled at bass but also flute and piano. Inspired by Tool and Rage Against the Machine, he pumps out non-stop funk, (we dont know how that happened, but were not complaining). Craig will be attending college this year as a freshman. Nicholas “MMMM” Delcious-Guitarist: Born in the seventh year of the eigth decade of the ninth century of the second millenium anno domini, Nick has been influenced by REM, U2, and Peter Gabriel since birth. He began by playing clarinet, and spent a couple years of his life wasting it on the drums. Then found a guitar and magic happened. He is a self-proclaimed: International-Executive-Cheif-Marketing-Vice-Bhrundsfhurher-Lord-Emperor in command of her Majesty’s Royal Cavalry. (but we still like him all the same). He will be a senior in high school this year. Marcus “ID3”-Lead Vocals: The sexy one of the group (also the one typing out the bio) he was raised on soul music that ranges from the early 60’s and beyond. He finds most of his inspiration from Stevie Wonder and Musiq. He’s been sining since he learned how to talk and loves every moment he’s on stage performing. With Nick, he writes the songs of the band. He will be a senior in high school this year. Band history: It was in January of 2003 that the wandering gang of Craig and Nick discovered Ben and his drums in a magical jam session of limited talent. It wasthen that “Handsome Pete” was formed and floundered around in musical darkness before they managed to capture Marcus from his solo career (with candy and soda) and formed a band that went through a myriad of names (from Novus, to the Ever Popular Delusions and the Madness of Crowds, to Turtle Soup, to The Last Remaining Light, to Four Letter Word, and many more) before they settled on The Coming Storm. Their aspirations now are to conquer every high school and beyond from Dartmouth (Holla atcha boy Big D) to Dennis Yarmouth (See you at the Regatta!) before Christmas. They have gained noteriety in their small circles from the theatrics (lighting, fog machines and costumes) and their onstage intensity (including blatent “pants-stuffing”). “We’re the greatest band you’ve never heard.”
