The band Smiling Politely formed in 2004 bringing together a vision of meaningful rock that takes on issues often deliberately overlooked. Without shame Smiling Politely professes faith in JC and offers concertgoers hard-hitting music with a call to come out of the darkness and enter into grace. Bringing life's tails to the table, SP weaves meanigful lyrics into soul piercing anthems of the walk. Understanding that many times a song will rock the soul more than a Sunday morning sermon. In the spring of 2005 Smiling Politely entered into the studio to cut their EP and with many intensive writting sessions SP will be back in the studio to cut their full-length album. Developing intense local succes Smiling Politely has enjoyed radio play and will have their music featured in the movie "Heart Of The City" due out in the winter of 2005/06. Smiling Politely also won 3 Telly awards ( in association with N Light N Productions) in the summer of 2005 (26th Annual Telly Awards) for their music video "Killing Me" including the top Silver Telly in music videos. SP was also invited to play the Souled Out Stage for LifeLight 2005 after winning their regional battle of the bands.
