The Jimmys formed in the spring of 2005 when lead singer Mike Donovan and bassist Tim Clarke re-connected their musicals paths and began writing songs. With the addition of seasoned friends, Ray Merrill on drums and Jeff Hanson on lead guitar, The Jimmys were set to bring their high-energy brand of Punk-a-Billy Celtic Rock to the Bay Area music scene.

All had played together in different San Francisco bands, since the mid 90’s, but The Jimmys material brought a fresh level of excitement. Since cutting their demo with Justin Phelps (Cake, Chuck Prophet) at Tiny Telephone Studios in San Francisco, The Jimmys fired out SRO weekend shows at some of the best clubs on the Bay Area circuit. The high point came last December, when the venerable Sweetwater, selected them for their Fresh Artist Showcase.

From the first note to the last, The Jimmys live show impacts the crowd with driving beats, pumping guitars and hooky melodies. With an upcoming EP release around the corner, Jimmys’ fans are banking on a solid and monstrous 2006...
