Condition1 is a hard rock band from scattered backrounds and locations, who came together in southern California in early 2004. Singer Evan Robison, and guitarist Sam Lebowitz had met 2 years earlier in Marine Corps boot camp. It wasn't until they got stationed in the same unit in California that they started making music together. Condition1 began when Evan and Sam, upon returning from Iraq, wrote a few songs together. A few months later, drummer Jason Schilling joined their unit, and the three quickly became friends. They soon realized they had much in common musically as well. Picking up where Sam and Evan had left off, they continued writing. In August of 2004 the band got the word that they would be returning to Iraq soon for a second time. Not wanting all of their hard work to go to waste, the band set to recording. While overseas, they got hold of an acoustic guitar. When they could, they got together and continued writing music and working out ideas. Evan, Sam, and Jason got back to the states in early April of 2005. Shortly thereafter bass player Josh Hisle joined the band. A long time friend, he had attended boot camp with Evan and Sam, and also deployed to Iraq with their unit. With Condition1 now complete, the band continues to write and play shows in Southern California. There are plans for a move to the east coast, and another recording to be released in early 2006.
