Prior to forming in January of '05, MOVING ATLAS had made several attempts in a handfull of different projects to break through to the masses. Geoff Lucke(bass), Ricky Dansby (guitar), & Matt Baker (drums) had played together for about 5 years until a few distractions tore them apart for about a year or so, giving them time to figure out what was to come next. During this hiatus Ricky came into contact with Ben Scott (guitar), writing several songs acoustically and pretty much just learning each other's style. After a couple of months of writing the two showcased some of their material to Geoff Lucke (bass), and he instantly knew this was the project for him. After all was said and done, Geoff and Ricky knew exactly who the drummer was, and that was Matt Baker. Reunited, and stronger than ever, Moving Atlas was now in search for the most important piece of the puzzle, the vocalist. After about a month of grueling audtions, the puzzle was complete, with the edition of vocalist, Jeramy Tuggle. Moving Atlas is now writing material for their upcoming untitled debut, and are very excited to see what is to come in the near future.
