NOTIZIE PRINCIPALI
PULL

Noun: force that attracts, compels, or influences

Verb: to exert force upon so as to cause or tend to cause motion toward the force

For the past three years the members of Pull have been exploring the realm of sonic expression. By blending themes and transcending the boundaries of what is commonly referred to as genre, Pull has managed to escape the classification that seems to follow, or rather plague, many up and coming, as well as established musical acts.

With a combined 55 years of formal musical training, each member contributes volumes to the experience, creating a whole greater than the sum of its parts.

A three-piece unit that engages itself in an audio-sensory assault each time it takes the stage, Pull - consisting of Dan Mintzer (drums/vocals), Jamie Suriano (bass/vocals), and Jerry Kops (guitar/vocals) – throws itself in to a frenzy of self-expression which culminates in a sort of controlled chaos, that when witnessed, can only be described as moving.

Pull has performed at most of the major music venues on Long Island and has taken the stage in New York City's most renowned music clubs. Pull has recently taken 3rd place honors in a Battle of The Bands Competition sponsored by Munchaba Lounge. Pull also received 5th place out of approximately 250 contestants in the Open Mic competition sponsored by Munchaba Lounge and Good Times Magazine. Pull has also had the honor of performing on the USS INTREPID for the final night of America’s Ride on September 11th, 2003 and at Yasgur’s Farm in Woodstock for the Independence Ride from Ground Zero.
