Rene, Sander and Martijn already played together for a while and in december 2004 the drummer Peter joined the band. Together we began writing our own songs. The style of our songs is best described as a mixture of pop and rock.
In May 2005 we were invited at the SAE institute in Amsterdam to record a single. This was our first visit to a real studio and this was a great experience for all of us ! A few months later we had enough songs to complete an album. As a result in August we went to the studio wich resulted in our first ever album called "No Tomorrow". We were very proud that day ! But we also knew we wanted to perform the songs live in front of an audience. So we started planning gigs. After a few gigs we became famillar with the stage and also we had written a few new songs. So then in November we invited our friend and cameraman Marco van der Laan at a gig at the Dock03 in a town called Hendrik Ido Ambacht. He made us a DVD/CD box called "SOUNDSYSTEM - Live at Dock03". In december we were invited to play at the Emerganza Festival. This offcourse was a great thrill for us. And I think I can speak for all of us when I say that we are very proud, honoured and happy that we can perform at such a big festival !!! So we shall give our 200% best at the Winston (Amsterdam) on the 15th of Februari. We hope you all come check us out and enjoy our music !!! Greetings from SOUNDSYSTEM !
