You would think a band that has had extensive radio play the world over, shared stage time with pedal steel guitar legend Buddy Cage, speed metal gods Fates Warning, No Nukes' featured performer Joy Ryder, had guest appearances on their latest album by ex-Bongos front man Richard Barone, EMI alumnus Patti Rothberg and jazz genius Mike McGinnis (Dorsey Orchestra, Ravi Coltrane, Barry Manilow) in addition to being generally recognized for writing and recording one of the best critically-acclaimed indie anthems in recent memory, as well as a universally-received punk rock Holiday aria which had no less than Joey Ramone's guitar-wielding sibling, Mickey Leigh, singing its praises, plus having their material covered by a national act who's featured in the Guinness Book of Records for playing for the largest audience ever, would be a time-honoured, multi-platinum act and its members all would be recognized as celebrities who are rolling in money.

Think again.

The Baghdaddios are a textbook example of tenacity winning out, helping the NY natives - always the bridesmaids in any "scene" that they've ever been a part of - to survive, even as the proudly self-declared "runt" of the Lower East Side's post-Ramones era power-punk litter, eventually outlasting the majority of their original peers. Better bands with bigger budgets, higher profile management, major record label deals, prettier looks and hipper followings have come and gone - but NY's fave indie underdogs (once dubbed "The Band That Wouldn't Die") still continue to chug along after 13 sometimes turbulent, but always exciting, roller-coaster years!

Now with the release of their brand new album, the long-awaited Autopsy-Turvy plus tour dates scheduled for the new year, key music festival appearances planned and music videos being negotiated, NY's very own hometown indie alterno-rockers are poised to move on to even greater heights, all on their own terms!
