Driven by pure energy, total commitment, and a deep, heavy sound, Section 18 is creating a buzz and making an impact on the local music scene. This exciting 4-piece hard rock band is from the Poughkeepsie, NY area and plays numerous venues in the Hudson Valley, Westchester and NYC.
Section 18 is an original rock band with influences from Metallica, Godsmack, Alice in Chains to Iron Maiden and Led Zeppelin. Our lyrics reflect the darker side of life which are accompanied by raw music that has a hard and heavy groove with a chorus that will always kick you in the teeth! S18's front man (Mikey P.) has a dynamic voice and excellent stage presence who can take command of any stage and has the balls to get into the face of the audience which is pleasantly entertaining and demands respect.
S18 has opened for Twisted Sister, Powerman 5000 and has shared the stage with many great local bands. We've won a battle of the bands at Tuxedo Junction (Danbury, CT) and sold out 1 or more buses on 3 consecutive road trips to Hogs & Heifers in NYC. At our shows we never disappoint and the air is always electric!!
