Silent Motion.... So Much Meaning behind that name itself. The Story begins with a late night Frisbee game in August 2004, in which Rob Operman met George Dikeakos. After meeting and talking about similiar tastes in music, they decided to one day jam with eachother in the garage of Rob's Suburban house in Brooklyn, New York. With George on guitar and vocals and Rob on drums the forces interlocked and made powerful yet revealing music. When newly found bassist and close friend Shawn Rosen appeared in the picture things we're to be set with a writing chemistry so strong that nothing could stop the genius behind the three musicians. On the other side of Brooklyn, bassist Mark Abramov was going through bands left and right trying to get the right people and the right sound. Earlier that year George asked Mark to play with him and Shawn Rosen, but Mark had declined that offer. Later on that year George's friend Janet had school with Mark and persisted that her friend wanted to start a band and was looking for a bassist. So once Mark found out who this was he was thrilled to know that it was someone that he knew. George, Mark, and Shawn began to play and write compelling music together. It looked as if the band was finally set. After a few practices, then drummer Shawn had problems on the side and told them to go on without him for the time being. With that in mind, George suggested that Rob the original drummer deserved a call. The practice between the three were incredible and the chemistry grew more and more as the playing went on. Many shows were played and successfully enjoyed. After a year the music became enough to carry on another member. So George, Mark, and Rob decided to make a call to Shawn again, realizing he played guitar and at a spectacular level. Shawn agreed and learned the songs. Next practice was a studio recording and things from then on have been phenominal. George Dikeakos, Mark Abramov, Robert Operman, and Shawn Rosen have found their niche, and their niche is SILENT MOTION.... a mix of Classic Rock, Funk and Jazz... and combination only God himself could comprehend... with he musical influences of Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Tom Petty, Areosmith, King Crimson, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Pink Floyd, who can say how much farther they can really go with their music.... Only they do and all of you will find out soon enough.... get caught in the MoTiOn....
