NOTIZIE PRINCIPALI
Swiftnick started out as a trial balloon by four musicians, who had laid music on the shelf for a while. However, as it had happened before in the past, they soon found out that they couldn’t do without the special feel of the stage, so they got together and formed a band, initially named “Bahnhof”, which soon changed name and crew and finally became the “Swiftnick” of today.
In a review Swiftnick is described as "Rock painted with a wide brush"

Swiftnick was created in October 2003 in Copenhagen by Peter Baunbæk(vocal), Dennis Rasmussen(drums), Simon Hartmann-Petersen(bass) and Carsten Z. Samuelsen(guitar).
In October of 2004 Simon Hartmann-Petersen passed the bass on to Salman Mansor who with his background in jazz embellished the music in a new and improved fashion. Since then Swiftnick has found its own musical expression which can be heard throughout all the numbers in the catalogue.

Swiftnick plays hard rock. Although the band finds its inspiration in many different genres it is primarily the grungewave of the 90’s with bands like Nirvana and Alice in Chains spiced with a pinch of inspiration from neopunk and metal bands like Offspring and Deftones that has offered the greatest inspiration. Vocally the band is closer to the rock of the 70’s with bands like The Doors, Pink Floyd and early Sort Sol.
