Of Her Blood e il loro Thrash Metal

"Dying with our one passion, music: the greatest wealth of them all. We must play on." The lyrics of Between and Me's "Aesthetic" run through the minds of Of Her Blood's members almost incessantly. Forming in the all to predictable suburbs of Milwaukee, Of Her Blood sets out to do the only thing they know how, play music true to themselves and their lives, regardless of the views and opinions of those surrounding them.

With the demise of the now defunct TraceD, Of Her Blood founding members, guitarist Brian Hessler and drummer Matt Bottoni, set out to pursue the music they heard in their own heads, not the sheets laid before them. Over a year was spent with various progressions, ups, downs, and many lengthy discussions building towards the ultimate goal of playing the music that defines their lives.

The humble start of OHB was bleak for the founding members but their drive and desire to succeed was paid off with the introduction of guitarist Eric Pinnow, and vocalist Matt Scherbarth, both of whom are members of the OHB's founders tight circle.

With the addition of bassist Jeff Rivers the line-up was solidified and OHB embarked on their journey, starting with a rigorous writing and rehearsal schedule. Drawing influence from all forms of metal, hardcore, and the vast array of genre breaking music found in the collections of OHB members, they have given themselves a large pallet from which to create from.

As they begin to create and build what is to become the soundtrack of their lives they never cease to forget their humble beginnings and always carry the belief that their band is the collective creativity of five individuals who believe that no matter what level of success or notoriety they may achieve, they must stay true to who they are and the music they create.
