    TOP STORIES
As the brainchild of long time friends and musical partners Stu Watts and Josh McCluskey, The Spinset has been in the works since late 2008.

With a clear vision and musical direction in mind, and a plethora of written material; it was time to get the ball rolling. And so, in November of 2009 the band became complete with the addition of local bassist and childhood friend Matty Zull, and dynamic singer/guitarist Travis Suttie. After much discussion and deliberation between band members, a name was finally decided on, and so The Spinset was born.

Entering into the new year, bright eyed and ready to take on the world, the boys continue to write and record new material. And with each new member bringing something fresh and exciting to the party; the band begins to take shape.

In recent years, many seem to ask the question; “What happened to the pop-punk of old? To the glory days when the genre was more than just a fashion statement?” The Spinset answers this with a sound that will take you back to pop-punk’s heyday. Although incorporating a wide range of musical influences, the boys never stray too far from the genre that brought them all together.

As of March 2010, The Spinset has won acclaim from everyone they have crossed paths with; with their “catchy as” tunes complimented by their infectious sense of fun and enthusiasm. The eagerly awaited EP ‘Never Say Never’, is already causing quite a stir amongst local fans. Following the success of the band’s first live performances, the band could not be more ready to take the show on the road and open up some eyes and ears to the fun, energetic and humorous show that they pride themselves on. If the live Spinset experience is anything to go by; ‘Never Say Never’ is sure to be a hit with their fast growing local following and outsiders alike.
