    TOP STORIES
Once Romanced started like all good bands should start. Over a pint of beer and a plate of wings, at least this was the setting for Chad Hummel (vocals, guitar) and Ryan Bracken (Bass). After meeting in August 2004 through a mutual friend Ryan and Chad started playing at open mic and acoustic nights in the Lancaster, Pennsylvania area. They soon realized that they had very similar ideas for the type of band they wanted, and musically there was a connection. So, in March 2005 they added another guitarist and a drummer to form the start of Once Romanced. But, a couple of months into the new project Chad and Ryan realized things weren’t working out so they decided to start from scratch. In November 2005 they let go of their guitarist and drummer and brought on Josh Loose to take over behind the kit. In December Ryan’s brother Dennis moved back to Lancaster and Ryan soon got him playing guitar for the band. There was an immediate connection between the 4 musicians. Chad and Ryan knew they now had the band they had been dreaming about... almost. In January 2006 the guys approached Josh's wife Laura to fill out the band with backing vocals and some keys. Since the current Once Romanced has formed, they have sought to create the best music they can. At the same time they seek to live beyond the music and live lives that serve the community by getting involved in projects that seek to bring justice into the different social injustices in this world.
