    TOP STORIES
A one of a kind, funky 3 piece band and a frontman M.C. Originated in 2001 by a divine jam session brought together by Swift that took place at RYCHARDZ flat on Epworth and Tireman in Detroit. The session included the likes of BIG L.P. and Pede Styx and the chemistry fused naturally as musical embryo's were created, thus OTHER- the Far Left Movement was born. The sessions were very intense and the group started to accrue many compositions over a very short time so they made something of it. The group has performed at many live venues such as Cafe Le Jive, Detroit African American Festival at Hart Plaza, and Co-Co's Comedy Kitchen just to name a few spanning the years of 2001-2004. During this time the group developed a small fan base with songs such as the jazzy "Ms Black USA" an ode to REAL women who presents themselves with class and character, the gritty edged "Dirtyfinganailz" a contribution to the hard rock angle of the Far Left Movement, and the FUNK/ROCK tune "R.E.E.D."<- (pronounced R, double, E, D), and the neighborhood classic "The Death of Childhood". A nostalgic tune that reflects on the innocence of childhood to adolescence. The group has a 5 song e.p. titled OTHER- the Far Left Movement currently circulating throughout the metropolitan Detroit area. Rated classic material. On the digital side of things, the two producers SWIFt and BIG L.P. have solo projects as well as collaborations that will be featured here over time. Best way to describe our sound is soul, funk, jazz, hip hop and many other mixtures of the other genres can and will be heard in our music to come.
