The Folk is a bona fide rock and roll band that combines intimate acoustic songwriting with crunked-up, sweaty electric attitude and a balls-out live show. Drawing from deep classic rock roots and modern-day pop/alternative rock, the five-piece grew up in the East Village club scene after its inception in January 2004. The Folk has played venues such as the CBGB's Gallery, the Knitting Factory, the Ace of Clubs, Crash Mansion, and Harper's Ferry to name a few. We recently finished our latest studio effort with producer/engineer Glen Tarachow. The disc was mastered by grammy-award winner Elliot Federman.
