    EMILY WEEDON is a Singer/Songwriter from Toronto. Her lush vocals and piano technique have been winning over new fans since her debut in 2002.

    The sound is predominantly pop, with a healthy jazz/blues/roots backbone. Think: Norah Jones with more attitude. Inspired by storytellers like Tom Waits, Carol King, James Taylor, and Rufus Wainright Emily crafts strong hooks into narrative lyrics that linger with the listener.

    Backed by the impressive talents of Paul Brennan (Odds, Big Sugar, Chantal Kreviazuk) on drums and, for Emergenza 2004, Leo Valvassori (Allanah Myles, Natasha Alexander) on bass, the sound is rich and heavy.

    Early 2004 marks Emily's indie CD debut; limited advance copies will be available at her Jan 24th show.
