How would you describe your music and musical inspirations?
Our music is written by us, and our goal is to connect with people on an emotional level. We've listened to, and have been inspired by many different styles of bands covering a variety of genres. We hope that people can hear the different styles in our music. Take for instance Harmony (one of our first songs we recorded) and Gone to China (one of our more recent tunes) you'll be able to hear our sound and how it's evolving.
What kind of live experiences have you had as a band or individually? Any major venues/shows?
We've had a handful of live experiences together, and we are becoming more cohesive every day. We've played Chez Maurice for their Relève competition, and we've played a few smaller venues too. We are super excited to play Club Soda, we are very motivated, and we are working very hard to guarantee the audience a kick-ass performance!
What promotional means have you found to be the most efficient for you guys?
Our promotions usually are done through social media and through word of mouth. These have been pretty effective so far, but we are currently looking into other ways to promote our band.
What are you hoping to get out of your participation in the Emergenza Music Festival?
Emergenza seemed like the quickest way to get back on stage after writing a slew of new material that we were dying to play for people. In all honesty, we didn't have any expectation or idea coming into Emergenza. The chance to win a spot in Germany's Taubertal Open air Festival for the finals made the competition that much more interesting for us when we found out about it during our first meeting. Coming closer to Club Soda, our excitement and anticipation is growing for the show and we are hard at work preparing Club Soda's set list. We have our sights set on the Semi-Finals at the Olympia. And with our powerful arsenal of tunes, maybe Germany isn't so far away after all.
Are there any dirty little secrets you can share about Jailbait Lucy?
Our name, Jailbait Lucy, comes from ideas of paying tribute to Thin Lizzy's Jailbreak, and our bassist's bass; Lucy. Tonight there's gonna be a jailbreak, some of us won't survive.
