    À LA UNE
Vegasphere create a desperate and emotional collage of melody driven songs fuelled by dark electronic programming. Formed in Toronto in 1995, vocalist Christian McFadden, guitarist Ben Swarbrick, and bassist David Vasey have created a sonic environment that can be a pristine whisper one minute only to give way to a pounding symphony of grit the next. If there can be only one thing that sets Vegasphere apart from the growing stable of electronic enthusiasts, it is the domination of substance over style in the music they create. Strong Melodies, intelligent lyrics, and electrifying arrangements always take priority over the supplemental blips and bleeps of modern music. It is for this reason that Vegasphere's audience continue to expand beyond the boundaries that typically divide fans of specific musical genres.

The Vegasphere live experience blurs the lines between rave and rock show to create an environment on par with the intensity of their compositions. A sea of swirling lights and smoke along with an ornately decorated stage serves to amplify the emotional drive, generating an otherworldly atmosphere. Their ever-strengthening live show has allowed them to opportunity to open for a diverse selection of international acts, ranging from the industrial all-star band C-TEC (members of FRONT 242, NITZER EBB, and CUBANATE) to Skint Records (home of FATBOY SLIM) recording artists THE LO-FIDELITY ALLSTARS, as well as US industrial heavyweights SPAHN RANCH and LUXT.

In January 2002, Vegasphere released EXIT WOUND, their first recording with SOMETHING INVITING RECORDS (distributed by 'Nuff Entertainment in Canada). The band has also filmed two videos from the CD for the songs EXIT WOUND and exceptionally radio friendly BEEHIVE, as well as licensed album tracks for TV and film. EXIT WOUND is preceded by 1998's DRIVEN, and 1996's LIFES
LITTLE TRANSPARENCIES. They are currently rehearsing for a tour and promotional appearances, as well as preparing to record a new CD for a summer/fall release.
