    The Drag was founded by husband and wife acoustic duo Derek (guitatr) and Kitty (vocal's) Schwabl in 2001. After years of being a two-some, they decided to experiment (musically that is) and go electric. Chris Page (drums) and Jeff Hocutt (bass) were invited on board in 2004/2005.

    The Drag works to create an atmosphere similar to that of the late 60s and early 70s music scene - by combining poetic lyrics with pure, naked rock. When performing, the band seems to almost be entranced by their music, as Kitty rolls around on stage as a sort of ritualistic, primitive dance.

    This band is not for the conservative or faint of heart. It is for those who long to rise up against MTV and our local radio stations for only catering to the musical illitarate. It is for those who long to listen to music different than that of their 11 year old brother. It is for those who long for an organic rock experience. Rise up ye children!
