Unlike the past years where bands started earlier, so early in fact that many complained, this year the first band kicks off at 5:30 pm. An excellent time considering we had support bands warming the crowd that managed to stay under the pouring rain but as we prepare for darkness all I can think of is how good this stage is going to be once the lights kick in. So Plein Phares job is to get the ball rolling. This is a wonderful three piece band with minimal sounds and a minimal approach.

No frills, not many effects, no technical showing off, just clean jangly guitars and simple fun pop songs. Even though the rain was heavy, they managed to keep the crowd entertained and they proved their appreciation with a fine display of dancing in the muddy grounds....what a site!
Great songs with excellent backing singing harmonizing at the right places. A great way to start the Emergenza international festival. A great way to say a big “fuck off” to the rain.....let's rock!
