Roadmusic... Moleskin is a French rock band which draws its name from one of Noir Désir's songs ("A l'arrière des taxis") and its music from the US rock of the seventies and eighties. A bass, drums, two guitars and a harmonica revisit the kind while keeping in memory what was done best from Beatles to Metallica. Beatles for melody, Metallica for energy. Between these two great as distant influences in time as in the style, one finds environments of Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd or U2. The voice, powerful and marked, classes the band in a rock and no pop register. One could even speak about strong rock.
