    TOPVERSLAGEN
Monk is a singer/songwriter from Munich, Germany who has just finnished his debut album:

    "Damaged Music For Damaged People"

With surprising facility he blurs the genre bounderies of dance, pop and electronic to create a distinctive, new, different and own sound.
Since his erlay childhood he got classical music lessons and learned to play piano and violin. None of his teachers managed to teach him how to read notes. He prefered to play everything by ear. At the age of 14 he taught himself to play the guitar. Today the multi instrumentalist plays guitar, bass, keyboard and sings.
5 years he played in different local cover bands and worked in music stores. At that time he started to write his first own songs and recorded some demos with other musicians.
He was never happy to be dependent on others and his desire to have an own studio growed. The next 4 years he completely disappeared from the live scene. He worked in the night as a bartender to finance and build a studio in his appartment. In the daytime he taught himself to write and produce his songs. His album slowly but steadily took shape.
Monk wrote, produced, mixed, sang and played all the instruments on the 13 tracks of his debut album.
No wonder that podcasters, bloggers and his fans around the globe praise him as "the secret next big thing".
He shows his mature songwriting skills with beautiful sad ballads like: "The Only One" to uptempo dance electro hymns: "She Can Dance".
Monks live show with his professional band is energetic, powerful and on the same artistic high level then his album.
One thing is for sure: He won´t be a secret for long !
You can stream his full album:"Damaged Music For Damaged People" on his website.
