    Lorcan James is a new Irish artist based in Dublin. Having travelled in the U.S. he ended up living in Mexico for a time. Writing and performing in Mexico would have a lasting influence on his music. He returned to Ireland to record his debut EP. It was a natural progression to draw from the rhythmical feel of South American Pop/Rock, blending it seamlessly with his U.S. styled songwriting. Like-minded musician Utku Sarper came onboard and he would prove to play an important role in the project. Ger McDonnell (U2, Manic Street Preachers, Martha Wainwright) stepped in as engineer and provided additional production on the EP. It was mixed between February and March 2010 in London by Dave Pemberton who has worked with Kasabian and Groove Armada. The resulting recordings have already been described by Safta Jaffery (CEO of Taste Music) as having ‘U.S. radio potential’.
