Kacie Sheik has burst onto the music scene, and is ready to be heard.
Emerging singer/songwriter Kacie Sheik returned home to New York City last Fall, following a year spent starring in Queen's "We Will Rock You" in Las Vegas. Younger sister of Grammy nominated recording artist Duncan Sheik, the 24 year-old culled much songwriting experience from her time spent outside New York. Working with Meatloaf's Paul Crook and John Miccelli, as well as Blue Oyster Cult's Danny Miranda, and performing alongside legendary Queen band-mates Brian May and Roger Taylor during her Vegas stint provided invaluable and inspirational performance experience.
Originally from New Jersey, Kacie eventually found her way to The University of the Arts at 16 years old. As an incoming Freshman at the hipster arts school in center city Philadelphia, she studied voice, music, and acting before hitting the road for a year with a touring production. After seeing the country, the young songstress re-located to NYC which has been her home base now for over 5 years.
Determined to bring honesty to her music, Kacie continues to write and record as she prepares for her first release.
The timing will be right, the songs will be perfection, and the energy will catch you from the start.
Just wait, there will be no controlling it.
