    Ephnix is a hard-hitting five-man alternative rock band from Elgin, Illinois. Working hard for over five years, the band has evolved into a powerful beast fueled by groaning basslines, wailing guitar riffs, and vehement vocal intelligence. Determined to rise above the common fate of local used-to-be's, Ephnix has concentrated on forging a revolutionary sound that separates them from the diluted swill of mainstream rock radio. With influences ranging from the musical departures of The Mars Volta and Deftones to the gritty history of Sex Pistols and Misfits, Ephnix has carved out a new niche in the Chicago-area rock scene.
